Position Summary
The Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting freight across regional and long-distance routes while ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with all transportation regulations. This position requires a dependable, safety-focused professional who can operate commercial vehicles efficiently and maintain excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a commercial tractor-trailer to transport freight safely and efficiently
  • Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure timely pickup and delivery of loads according to schedules
  • Maintain accurate logs, trip records, fuel receipts, and delivery documentation
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT), FMCSA, and company safety regulations
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transport
  • Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding load status, delays, or issues
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned equipment
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers and shipping/receiving personnel
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements
  • Current DOT medical card
