We are seeking a LONG HAUL DISPATCHER to join our team in the Twin Cities. Our Long Haul Dispatcher will be accountable for dispatching long distance drivers throughout the United States while these drivers pack, load, haul and deliver corporate America’s employees as well as Private Transferees who are moving from one location to another. They will also make sure all SOP’s are being followed and drivers are in compliance with DOT standards.

  • Assign, plan and dispatch drivers/contractors, working closely with management and Operations team(s);
  • Recruit and grow a stable driving team to maintain the goals of Berger;
  • Develop partnerships to secure hauling opportunities;
  • Maintain data integrity to ensure that accurate information is available for internal and external customers;
  • Oversee contractor performance to ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery;
  • Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate for this position will share the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred);
  • Ability to work well with a team, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced, constantly changing, high demand work environment;
  • Minimum of 1 year of Owner Operator Interstate planning and dispatch experience is required;
  • Previous Household Goods experience is required;
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • Self starter motivated by daily challenges;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Robust geographical knowledge
