Job description

The Delivery Driver / Shop Laborer is responsible for completing company deliveries and pickups while supporting general shop operations when not on the road. This role ensures materials and finished goods are transported safely and efficiently while assisting with material handling, packaging, and maintaining a clean and organized shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Transportation
  • Perform local pickups and deliveries of materials, parts, and finished goods using company vehicles, including box trucks, flatbed trucks, and vehicles with trailers
  • Safely operate company vehicles while following all traffic laws and company policies
  • Load, secure, and unload materials to prevent damage during transport
  • Verify delivery paperwork, packing slips, and quantities at pickup and delivery locations
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of company vehicles
  • Communicate with office and shop personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transport
  • Complete occasional longer-distance deliveries as needed
Shop & Warehouse Support
  • Assist with material handling and staging of materials
  • Help prepare and package customer orders for shipment
  • Operate a forklift to move materials and finished goods
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks and incoming deliveries
