Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Delivery Driver to transport metal roofing, rainware materials, and related products to customer locations and job sites. You will ensure accurate, timely deliveries while supporting warehouse and yard operations through material handling, loading, and equipment use. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistent punctuality, and a commitment to dependable customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an 18 ft box truck to deliver metal roofing, rainware materials, and related products to customer locations and job sites.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy by checking materials against delivery documentation before departure and upon arrival.
• Load trucks using a forklift, ensuring materials are properly secured for safe transport.
• Handle materials carefully throughout the loading, transport, and unloading process to prevent damage.
• Unload materials at customer locations and job sites in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
• Follow established delivery schedules and routes while meeting required timelines.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills to complete multiple deliveries within scheduled hours.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the box truck remains in safe operating condition.
• Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly according to company procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, branch team members, and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
• Support overall yard and warehouse efficiency by assisting with material handling and organization when not driving.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures while operating vehicles, forklifts, and working in the yard or warehouse.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience driving a box truck, with proven proficiency operating an 18 ft long box truck.
• At least 3 years of delivery driver experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Prior forklift certification and demonstrated ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver with hands-on warehouse or material handling responsibilities.
• Ability to verify deliveries for accuracy and maintain detailed attention to order and load documentation.
• Strong time management skills to follow delivery schedules and meet deadlines consistently.
• Ability to conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Clear and professional communication skills to interact with dispatch, branch teams, and customers.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, and consistent punctuality.

Work Environment

You will work as part of a small, close-knit team of approximately two employees in a 6,000 sq ft facility that combines warehouse, yard, and loading operations. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional weekend work depending on business needs. The role involves operating an 18 ft box truck and using a forklift for loading and unloading materials, as well as handling roofing and rainware products in a warehouse and yard setting. The environment emphasizes safety, collaboration, and efficiency while maintaining a consistent daytime work schedule.

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $52000.00/yr.
