At Sport Sheds we build and deliver some of the most unique and high-end outdoor sport and golf simulator structures in the country. We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused Commercial Driver to join our growing team and help transport oversized modular structures, materials, and equipment to job sites across the United States.
This role is ideal for someone who is experienced with large trailers, oversized loads, long-distance hauling, and navigating challenging deliveries with professionalism and precision. The right candidate will take pride in representing the Golfsheds brand on the road and at customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport Golfsheds structures, materials, equipment, and related components to project sites nationwide
  • Operate heavy-duty pickup trucks, trailers, and commercial transport equipment
  • Handle oversized and overweight loads in compliance with DOT regulations and permitting requirements
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles, trailers, and equipment
  • Secure loads properly using straps, chains, binders, and appropriate tie-down methods
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and communicate proactively with operations and install teams
  • Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and occasional on-site setup support
  • Navigate urban, residential, and remote delivery environments safely and professionally
  • Maintain accurate logs, mileage records, inspection reports, and transport documentation
  • Ensure vehicles and trailers remain clean, organized, and properly maintained
  • Represent Golfsheds professionally with customers, contractors, and vendors
Qualifications
  • Valid CDL required (Class A)
  • Experience hauling oversized, wide, tall, or specialty loads
  • Strong understanding of trailer operation, load balancing, and cargo securement
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations, transport permits, and safety procedures
  • Experience towing large gooseneck, flatbed, or enclosed trailers
  • Ability to travel regularly and stay overnight for deliveries when needed
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
  • Clean driving record and strong safety history
  • Forklift, telehandler, or equipment operation experience is a plus
  • Construction, modular building, or specialty transport experience preferred
  • Professional attitude with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials regularly
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to climb, bend, secure loads, and work around trailers and heavy equipment
  • Must be capable of long driving hours and multi-day trips when required
