Job description

Senior Account Executive – Cyber Defense (US SLED)

Dataminr is seeking a Senior Account Executive to sell our Cyber Defense solutions to high‑profile US SLED accounts and ensure our real‑time information alerts reach the right stakeholders at the right time.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and execute detailed sales campaigns, achieving quarterly and annual sales targets with a robust, measurable sales process.
  • Build a pipeline through proactive prospecting, strategic networking, and leveraging partners.
  • Establish and sustain strong client relationships, navigating and closing complex enterprise deals.
  • Develop deep customer insights into use cases, decision‑making processes, budget cycles, and critical information.
  • Master competitive analysis and effectively position Dataminr’s portfolio of solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Provide product feedback to cross‑functional teams (Product, Engineering) to drive continuous enhancement of our products.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years full sales cycle experience selling enterprise cybersecurity technology solutions to a SLED client base across the Western US.
  • Expertise in multi‑channel prospecting including cold calling, channel partner relationships, LinkedIn outreach, and networking.
  • Track record of building relationships with senior cyber buyers and leveraging networks to gain introductions into new logos.
  • Strategic seller with account‑planning expertise, using a clear sales process (MEDDPICC preferred) to qualify and move deals through the pipeline to close.
  • Consistent quota achievement and ability to deliver consistently against targets.
  • Strong understanding of a complex sales process and business drivers for enterprise clients.
Compensation

The annual on‑target earnings (OTE) for this position are $231,200 – $340,000, which consists of the annual base salary and annual commission target. The total OTE will be based on geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience. Equity may also be provided.
