Job Overview

Keep things moving smoothly at Marvin! We're hiring a Logistics Manager to lead logistics, shipping, fleet operations, and delivery-related customer service functions. In this role, you'll partner with Enterprise Logistics, Production, and Purchasing teams to achieve delivery goals. You'll be responsible for route optimization, asset utilization, driver and fleet management, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, cost, and customer experience.

You'll succeed in this role if you bring strong distribution and logistics leadership experience, a track record of managing drivers and fleet operations, and the ability to balance service, efficiency, and compliance. Experience with transportation technology, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration will help this leader make a meaningful impact across the business.

This position is an in office position located at our Kansas City office.ย 

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday

Pay: $82,000-$120,000/year

Highlights of your role
  • Lead physical distribution operations, including shipping, driver dispatch, fleet maintenance, and delivery-related customer service functions.
  • Manage and mentor the Driver Dispatch Supervisor while providing leadership for company drivers and fleet operations.
  • Partner with Enterprise Logistics, Production, Purchasing, customers, suppliers, and corporate teams to meet delivery goals and optimize transportation strategies.
  • Ensure effective utilization of routes, trucks, trailers, and other logistics assets while maintaining high service levels and cost efficiency.
  • Lead improvement projects focused on safety, quality, cost reduction, and customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal DOT regulations while monitoring service performance across Marvin drivers and third-party carriers
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
  • 5-10 years of distribution or logistics experience, preferably within an industrial consumer products environment.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, including driver supervision and fleet management.
  • Experience with just-in-time material flow, MRPII systems, logistics simulation software, and project management.
  • Working knowledge of electronic logging device (ELD) platforms and route optimization software such as Samsara or similar programs.
  • Ability to develop budgets, support capacity planning, and drive operational improvements across logistics functions.
Also want to make sure you have
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience collaborating with third-party transportation providers to support load coverage and service performance.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, material handling, and transportation best practices.
  • APICS, CPIM, or other relevant supply chain certifications.
  • Experience implementing logistics, transportation, or fleet-related process improvements.
