Job Title: Logistics Assistant โ€“ Warehouse (Onsite)

Pay: $18/hour (equivalent to $37,440 annually) with full benefits | Salaried Position

Schedule: Regular shift; must be flexible and open to different shift times

Employment Type: W2 only (no C2C or third-party arrangements)

Location: Oregon (Beaverton & Hillsboro)



Summary

The Logistics Assistant supports the movement, receipt, storage, and delivery of hardware assets across domestic and international locations, including company sites, suppliers, and partner facilities.

This internship provides hands-on training across warehouse and logistics operations. A background or experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or hardware environments is important and will be taken into consideration when selecting candidates. The role supports day-to-day logistics activities and provides flexible coverage when needed, including during employee absences, role openings, or increased operational demand.



Core Responsibilities

Shipping & Logistics Operations

  • Assist with coordinating international and domestic shipments of assets across companyโ€™s geo-locations, suppliers, and partners
  • Support shipping escalations and collaborate with companyโ€™s Global Trade, suppliers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners to ensure smooth customs clearance
  • Assist with freight and customs services, including placing POs when required to enable continued shipment movement
  • Support timely last-mile delivery to company labs or customers
  • Provide flexible coverage across logistics functions as needed

Receiving, Storage & Inventory

  • Assist with receipt of inbound shipments from domestic and international vendors
  • Receive freight from carriers and forwarders
  • Unpackage, inspect, and properly store server and hardware components
  • Update internal inventory management systems with accurate status and location data
  • Maintain proper storage practices aligned with operational and handling requirements

Coordination & Stakeholder Support

  • Support coordination between procurement, transportation, and warehousing functions to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery
  • Work with SCHIE Development PMs to support hardware requirements for exports across multiple geographies
  • Provide support for critical project teams to help drive timely hardware delivery
  • Communicate logistics status, risks, and execution updates as needed
  • Cross-train across logistics functions to provide coverage and operational support as needed

Purchase Order & Financial Coordination

  • Assist with creating and managing purchase orders (POs) supporting logistics, freight, and customs activities
  • Monitor PO status and update internal systems accordingly
  • Track and help resolve PO exceptions and work with suppliers to reduce lead times
  • Escalate billing and invoice discrepancies with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent education in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field
  • Interest in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, or hardware operations
  • Ability to learn and support domestic and international shipping operations
  • Ability to learn inventory management systems and logistics processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be flexible and willing to support different logistics functions, schedules, and operational needs

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience supporting data center, lab, warehouse, or hardware environments
  • Familiarity with inventory tools (SAP, ADO, or similar systems)
  • Experience supporting high-urgency or escalation-driven logistics environments
