The Opportunity:
As an Aviation Logistics Planner you will have the opportunity to provide senior-level aviation logistics planning and coordination support to I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF). This role supports MEU and aviation unit operations by integrating aviation logistics requirements into operational planning, training, and execution. The Aviation Logistics Planner serves as a senior advisor, ensuring aviation logistics considerations are synchronized with operational timelines and mission objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior-level aviation logistics planning support to I MEF and subordinate aviation units.
  • Plan and coordinate aviation logistics requirements supporting exercises, deployments, and training events.
  • Integrate aviation logistics considerations into operational plans, schedules, and execution timelines.
  • Coordinate with aviation units, installation support agencies, and external stakeholders to support aviation operations.
  • Support planning for off-installation aviation operations, including airfield coordination and logistics support.
  • Track aviation logistics requirements, risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Provide aviation logistics input to planning conferences, working groups, and after-action reviews.
  • Advise leadership on aviation logistics readiness and supportability.
  • Operate independently while delivering senior-level aviation logistics expertise.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of experience in aviation logistics planning or support within a DoD environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting MEU, aviation unit, or expeditionary aviation operations.
  • Strong understanding of aviation logistics processes and coordination requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and planning tools.
  • Ability to operate independently and advise senior leadership.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting MEF-level or Joint aviation operations.
  • Familiarity with aviation exercise planning and execution.
  • Prior military aviation logistics background.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$81,200 - 170,600 USD
