Logistics Support 

Our Clients business unit is setting up a new center of excellence (CoE) for materials management with the mission to fulfill the global demand of materials for its customers and repair shop network. 


The new Logistic CoE's responsibilities will include : 

1. Logistic Support to manage the LM materials needs and priorities coming from the companies global network 

2. Purchase and fulfill materials from our client guaranteeing an optimal balance between inventory and on time delivery to customers and its repair shops 

3. Logistic Specialist to ship materials and manage customs operations for the timely delivery of materials to its internal and external customers 


Essential Functions (Responsibilities) 

Logistic Support to ensure the completeness and visual quality of the material received from the suppliers to be stocked in the warehouse as well as the completeness and timeliness of the material packed for being shipped to customers or repair shops 

Timely delivery of materials to customers and repairs shops by leveraging global logistics providers

Ensure that customs declarations of varying complexity are filled accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring "regulatory excellence" in accordance with the company Standard requirements and applicable law 

Ensure the appropriate customs internal management, classification and country of origin of imported and exported goods is properly utilized 

Produce appropriate shipping documentation and execute recording of receipt/shipping transactions in ERP systems as required 

Keep relevant material logistics performance metrics updated for report out to BHGE leadership 

Work with  CoE to identify operational misses, root causes and put in place corrective actions  




Qualifications



Qualifications/Requirements 

Bachelor's degree required, major in Engineering, or other related field preferred 

2+ years experience in one of more of these areas : operations/ logistics, materials management 

Proven knowledge and experience with global logistics and customs processes and regulations 

Compliance & controllership mindset 

Familiar with Oracle ERP material transactional flows and requirements; prior experience in operating with it considered a plus 

Self-organized, analytical, and with good interpersonal and team work skills 

Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics 

Fluent English (written and spoken)
