As an Event Logistics Worker for the City of Fredericksburg, you will plan and manage logistics for various events. This role will supervise Park Operations Worker II and seasonal staff as the on-site lead and collaborate with the Special Event & Programs Coordinator and other partners to ensure successful events. Additionally, assistance with park and facility maintenance may be required. Additional work assignments may include:
 
Event Planning and Coordination
Manage all aspects of City and Department events, including setup and breakdown, as well as handling schedules, layouts, staffing, and vendor coordination.Event Execution and Supervision
Lead on-site event logistics, directing staff during event preparations, and providing support at City events to ensure smooth execution.Equipment Management
Manage event equipment from delivery to return, maintaining inventory, and scheduling maintenance to ensure everything is in top condition.Flexibility and Additional Duties

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment may be required.
  • Preferred: Experience supervising or directing seasonal staff or work crews.
  • Preferred: Some basic carpentry and landscaping experience
