Job description

The Logistics Solutions Specialist 3 analyzes the supply chain, transportation, and distribution network and develops recommendations for reducing freight costs, creating material efficiencies, and improving on-time delivery. Responsible for the development and maintenance of inventory levels throughout a multitiered distribution system with hundreds of locations and thousands of products enabling and supporting sales while minimizing lost opportunities. Manages deployment planning across multiple regions and divisions operating with autonomy to support both local needs, regulatory controls, product transitions and corporate targets.

Position Responsibilities may include:

• Extract and analyze data to develop and summarize complex data to assist in Logistics decision-making.

• Analyze and develop distribution and stocking plans across multiple markets and regions utilizing experience of Daikin processes and products alongside market data and product transitions maximizing sales potential.

• Conduct research to empower customer growth and reduce sales risks through complex solutions

• Perform analysis to review and simulation potential pitfalls and gaps as identified by others and develop action plans

• Design and implement solutions across all levels of customer service, inventory planning, warehouse operations, and product procurement to improve service and/or profit while or reduce bottom line costs.

• Create reporting, analyses, dashboards and project plans based upon active needs of the organization using analytical tools and software

• Automate and develop data management processes and levers impacting ERP and Deployment Systems 

• Establish best practices, training models, and infrastructure in addition to training and mentoring other team members

• Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams on assorted projects and activities. 

• Follow established processes, procedures and Company policies. 

• Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

• Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product or service improvements

• Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business

• Contributes to the development of functional strategy

• Leads teams or projects with broad visibility to achieve milestones and objectives

• Typically operates with broad latitude in a complex environment

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge and experience utilizing supply chain / logistics best practices, standards and procedures 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• High level of attention to detail and compliance oriented 

• Demonstrated analytical, quantitative and creative problem solving skills 

• Demonstrated skill or mastery in analysis/reporting/development utilizing software such as Excel/Access/SQL/R/Python/PowerBI/Tableau

• Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills 

• Priority setting – capable of managing multiple inputs and directions to deliver the desired results  

• Solid collaboration abilities; professional and diplomatic team leader 

• Results orientated, proven track record showing dedication to excellence and ability achieve complex business objectives 

• Ability to apply good judgement, decision making skills and strong work ethics and integrity on the job 

• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects, with various teams including engineers and supply chain personnel 

Experience:

• 7+ years of complex and competitive Analytics, Procurement, Fulfillment, Logistics experience required.

• Experience with HVAC or similar related business Required.

• Leadership and or management experience highly preferred

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree relating Supply Chain, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or Data or exceptional proven skill and experience required.

• Masters Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics Preferred
