Job description

Position Summary

A growing commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Multifamily Superintendent to oversee all aspects of field production for active construction projects. This position is site-based and responsible for directing daily operations in coordination with the Project Manager, while utilizing company-provided technology, support staff, equipment, and training resources to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

The Superintendent is responsible for managing the day-to-day construction operations on-site, including coordinating subcontractor activities, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring quality control throughout all phases of construction. This role serves as a primary point of communication with clients, architects, engineers, and field personnel while ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and contractual requirements.


Education & Experience

  • 8+ years of Multifamily Construction Superintendent experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of Multifamily Superintendent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of multifamily construction methods, processes, scheduling, and field operations.
  • Experience developing and managing construction schedules while holding subcontractors accountable for production timelines and contractual obligations.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and construction management tools.
  • Experience in additional construction sectors such as retail, restaurant, office, hospitality, industrial, banking, urban development, or warehouse/logistics facilities is a plus

  • Strong written communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and leadership abilities with clients, subcontractors, and field teams.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate project plans and specifications effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accountability across all trades and project stakeholders.
