Job description

Job Title: Logistics Coordinator (OE)
Department: US SCM Team
Shift: Core business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Direct Report: PCR Operation Unit Manager
Type: Non-Exempt; Full-time

About the Logistics Coordinator position

We are looking for a reliable Logistics Coordinator to provide logistics coordination support to the Supply Chain Management Team with timely and accurate assistance in the aspects of shipping and deliveries, customer communications, and business processing needs.

Logistics Coordinator responsibilities are:
  • Utilize Software Management Systems (WMS/ AWMS / GLP / MFC/ SOLZARD / SAP/ GMES) to validate shipment information and accuracy, conducts causative research and reconciles/ corrects discrepancies
  • Communicates with internal teams and external customers to coordinate shipment schedules, progress and other associated information for the timely and accurate delivery of shipments
  • Coordinates and manage all OE shipments including associated documentations for both US domestic and international locations
  • Coordinates with other Hankook Plants on shipments of tires to and from TP warehouse
  • Process and prepares test and sample tire orders for OE customers and other Hankook offices
  • Prepares and modifies daily and weekly reports and correspondences as required in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assists Truck/ Trailer scheduling and dispatch
  • Assists and provide support to operations team when necessary
  • Maintains files in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Supports and works with the SCM Team to provide a "seamless" customer service
  • Supports Hankook polices and safety procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Coordinator requirements are:

    Education:

    • (Required) associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • (Preferred) supply chain management or logistics management

    Experience:

    • (Preferred) supply chain management overall business process experience and understanding
    • (Preferred) knowledge and experience responding and resolving facility equipment failures
    • (Preferred) SAP or WMS experience

    Language:

    • (Required) good command of written and spoken English

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
    • Transportation - Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits
    • Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
    • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
    • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
    • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
    • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
    • Monitoring - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
    • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
    • Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
    • Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
