POSITION SUMMARY

The Population Health & Operations Logistics Specialist serves as a strategic bridge between The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education (TWCGME) and The Wright Center for Community Health (TWCCH), driving initiatives that improve patient outcomes through population health education, quality improvement, and value-based clinical operations.

This position provides operational leadership across two primary domains:

Clinical Operations, Quality & Logistics-optimizing operational workflows that enhance clinic efficiency, patient access, quality performance, resident and provider scheduling, and implementation of enterprise population health initiatives.

Population Health Education-managing the operational delivery of the Population Health Rotation, coordinating resident quality improvement initiatives, and integrating value-based care, community health, and population health principles into graduate medical education.

The specialist translates organizational population health priorities into operational workflows, educational programming, and quality improvement initiatives that align clinical operations with graduate medical education. Working collaboratively across clinical, operational, and educational teams, this position advances organizational priorities through project leadership, process improvement, data-informed decision making, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

While living and demonstrating our Core Values, the Population Health & Operations Logistics Specialist will:

Clinical Operations, Quality & Logistics

• Manage resident and provider clinic assignments to optimize operational efficiency, continuity of patient care, and resource      utilization.
• Lead operational implementation of enterprise population health initiatives through project management, workflow optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Analyze and monitor quality performance, care gap initiatives, and value-based care metrics to identify operational improvement opportunities and support organizational performance goals.
• Lead clinical process improvement initiatives and facilitate workflow redesign in collaboration with operational and clinical leadership.
• Develop and manage reporting systems, project tracking tools, and data collection processes supporting clinical operations, quality improvement, and value-based care initiatives.
• Ensure operational compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, payer requirements, regulatory expectations, and internal performance objectives.
• Partner with organizational leadership to implement operational priorities that strengthen patient access, care coordination, and population health outcomes.
• Engage with clinicians across TWCCH's multiple clinical sites to operationalize and troubleshoot quality initiatives. 

Population Health Education

• Manage the operational delivery of the Population Health Rotation, including resident scheduling, program logistics, educational resources and continuous process improvement.
• Plan and coordinate educational programming, workshops, interdisciplinary learning activities, and resident scholarly presentations aligned with organizational population health priorities.
• Develop and maintain systems to monitor rotation outcomes, learner engagement, project completion, and educational performance metrics.
• Collaborate with residency leadership and faculty to align educational experiences with quality improvement, value-based care, and clinical operational priorities.
• Cultivate collaborative partnerships among faculty, residents, clinical leadership, operational teams, and community organizations to advance educational and organizational objectives.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Meet The Wright Center for Community Health and its affiliated entity The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education EOS People Analyzer Tool
• Buy in and experience working in the EOS model (strongly preferred)
• Mission-oriented; represents the enterprise in a professional manner while demonstrating organizational pride
• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Education, Social Sciences, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated project management, organizational leadership, and operational coordination skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Electronic Health Records, spreadsheets, reporting platforms, and data management tools.
• Experience managing projects in healthcare operations, graduate medical education, quality improvement, population health, or related healthcare programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience leading or coordinating graduate medical education initiatives or residency programs.
• Experience in population health, value-based care, healthcare operations, quality improvement, or clinical program management.
• Familiarity with quality metrics, care management, social determinants of health, health equity initiatives, and value-based reimbursement models.
• Experience leading workflow redesign, operational improvement initiatives, or interdisciplinary quality improvement projects.
• Experience working within federally qualified health centers, academic medical centers, or integrated healthcare organizations.
