Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as aSr. Principal Logistics Management Analyst This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
This position is an integral member of a sustainment logistics team responsible for the management of complex spare parts and support assets that enable fleet readiness for advanced aerospace systems. The role requires a strong background inU.S. Government aircraft maintenance and logistics management processes, excellent communication skills, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be a team player and a strong independent contributor, proactive, detailoriented, and comfortable leading logistics activities that directly impact asset availability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintaininventory modelsand stock strategies to maximize asset availability within defined budgetary constraints.
Determine and assignAuthorized Stock Levels (ASL)andReorder Points (ROP)to meet program readiness requirements while managing cost and shelflife risk.
Optimizeinventory turnover, monitor usage and demand trends, and support execution of budgetary responsibilities for assigned material portfolios.
Assist insales/consumption forecastingand material planning to support program financial and operational goals.
Conductsupportability and risk analysesto identify potential supply chain disconnects and recommend mitigation actions (e.g., alternate sourcing, repair vs. replace, safety stock adjustments).
Supportprocurement activitiesby providing logistics input, validating requirements, and helping prioritize buys to align with sustainment posture and fleet needs.
EnsureBills of Material (BOMs)and associated logistics data are accurate and available to support sustainment activities and scheduled maintenance or modification events.
Support thestandup and maturation of centralized inventory control processes (e.g., CICP), including definition of roles, processes, and performance metrics.
Integrate withGlobal Supply ChainandU.S. Government counterpartsto align material strategies, resolve issues, and ensure coordinated support to the warfighter.
Monitor and tracksustainment metrics(e.g., fill rate, backorders, days of supply, not mission capable for supply) and drive corrective actions as needed.
Interface with internal functional and program organizations (engineering, supply chain, maintenance, finance) and work closely with external customers to resolve issues and communicate status.
Supportconfiguration and data integrityfor logistics records to ensure alignment between engineering configuration and supply support structures.
For more senior candidates: provide mentoring to junior logistics analysts and support continuous improvement initiatives for tools, processes, and data quality.
You will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 10% may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's degree and8 yearsof related experience in logistics, supply chain, or maintenance; OR a Master's degree and6 yearsof related experience in logistics, supply chain, or maintenance; OR a PhD and4 yearsof related experience in logistics, supply chain, or maintenance.
Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final U.S. adjudicated government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability toread and interpret engineering drawingsand technical data to determine parts applicability and usage.
Experience withtechnical specifications and industry standardsrelevant to aircraft parts and maintenance.
Solid understanding ofgovernment aircraft maintenance and supply processes and systems.
Experience withsustainment of large weapon system programs(e.g., fighter, bomber, ISR, or autonomous systems).
Experience integrating withGlobal Supply Chainorganizations and U.S.
Government logistics counterparts. Experience supporting thestandup or operation of centralized inventory control processes(e.g., CICP or equivalent).
Experience working withinSAPor similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for material management and logistics.
Prior experience as aGovernment Equipment SpecialistorAircraft Maintenance Technician.
Handson experience with logistics and engineering data tools such asTeamcenter Enterprise, Engineering Logistics Management System (ELMS/ELMA), and Engineering Source Data (ESD).
Experience withDMSMS/obsolescencemanagement and supportability analysis.
Certified through theAcquisition Professional Development Programin Program Management and/or Acquisition Logistics.
Familiarity withISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9102aerospace/industry standards.
ActiveU.S. Government Secret clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $92,200.00 - $138,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
