Job Overview:

The Equipment Specialist IV is a senior logistics subject-matter expert supporting PM ICO programs at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Georgia. This position leads complex equipment-support activities and provides expert recommendations on life-cycle sustainment, provisioning, configuration, supply-chain integration, and operational readiness.


Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex logistics analyses and cross-functional coordination; provide senior technical recommendations to product-management teams; and mentor junior specialists while maintaining accountability for assigned deliverables.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret equipment-specific and supply-chain data to support life-cycle management decisions.
  • Participate in provisioning conferences, installation assessments, task analysis, training-development efforts, and systems-engineering events.
  • Develop, review, and update technical artifacts and logistics documentation in CATALYST and the Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS).
  • Support supply-chain management requests, warranty support procedures, engineering change proposal reviews, integrated master schedules, risk reports, and logistics products.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and shipment records for Government Furnished Property, spare parts, and equipment sent to or from Fleet Marine Force and OEM locations for repair or calibration.
  • Extract and analyze reports from GCSS-MC, TDM-Catalyst, and L-DART; identify discrepancies and recommend corrective action.
  • Coordinate calibration activities and support detailed pre-fielding inventories, including documentation of components not delivered with a system.
  • Support timely responses to field requests, generally within 72 hours, and maintain required access to SIPRNet and other approved systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience as an Equipment Specialist, Logistics Analyst, or in a related technical role.
  • Extensive experience with military or industrial equipment, technical manuals, provisioning documentation, and enterprise logistics or supply-chain management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical-data analysis, resolve material or configuration discrepancies, and formulate defensible corrective-action recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience representing logistics interests in technical conferences, systems-engineering events, engineering change proposal reviews, or program-management forums.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card and required system accounts.

Preferred Requirements/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, a technical field, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with GCSS-MC, CATALYST, TFSMS, L-DART, FLIS, and related technical-data management systems.
  • Experience leading publication, technical-documentation, warranty, calibration, or fielding-support efforts.
  • Certified Professional Logistician, PMP, or comparable technical certification.
  • Familiarity with applicable military standards and DoD logistics or technical-publication policy.
