About the Position: As the Joint Logistics Operations Center (JLOC) Chief within the USSOUTHCOM J4 Logistics Operations Division, the incumbent provides authoritative advice on planning and executing comprehensive logistics programs-including equipment, supplies, medical, engineering, contracting, and personnel support-across the 31 nations and 16 territories of the Latin America and Caribbean Area of Responsibility (AOR).Qualifications:

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes serving as a focal point for logistics operations and providing staff advice on higher-echelon policies and directives. This includes synchronizing Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLEnt) efforts by monitoring deployment, distribution, and sustainment; evaluating logistical plans for feasibility and efficiency in support of exercises and contingencies such as Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (HA/DR); and mitigating logistics risks within the area of responsibility. This also includes directing and overseeing the formulation of program goals and work plans, setting priorities for a logistics branch, and advising staff to ensure the effective utilization of their experience and training.
