Abacus Solutions Group is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Safety Supervisor for a new facility opening in the Southaven, MS area. The Warehouse Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety and health, within the warehouse environment. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, implements safety programs, investigates incidents, and leads efforts to maintain a safe and secure workplace for all employees and visitors.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and enforce all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (OSHA and company standards)
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments throughout the warehouse
  • Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses; determine root cause and implement corrective actions
  • Track and analyze safety metrics (TRIR, near misses, incident trends) to identify improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate safety training for new hires and ongoing training for associates and leadership
  • Lead daily/weekly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns
  • Partner with operations leadership to ensure safe work practices and accountability at all levels
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe operation of equipment (forklifts, conveyors, etc.)
  • Manage workers’ compensation cases and coordinate return-to-work programs
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety culture and performance improvements to warehouse layout, processes, or equipment to reduce risk and enhance security.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of warehouse experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics best practices.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, and emergency response planning.
  • First Aid/CPR certification and OSHA 30-hour training preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
