Job description

If you are a self-starter known for your collaboration and communication skills, come join us as a Logistics Specialist III! As a Logistics Specialist III, you will support the Field Site Manager and the Logistics Manager in an aviation setting and be responsible in the purchase/movement of aviation raw materials, packaging materials, aviation and mission system parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through our production and inventory process to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials. You'll assist with troubleshooting potential receiving and kitting issues. You will also maintain focus of on time deliveries through our material management system, allowing us to execute successful programs and product life cycles.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Accurate Inventory Controls
  • Managing Government Furnished Material (GFM) and Equipment (GFE)
  • Ordering of aviation and mission system components
  • Will use knowledge of all facets of aviation logistics at a significant and noteworthy level to adeptly analyze challenging and vexing logistics problems and recommend insightful and innovative solutions.
  • On Time Material Kit Delivery
  • Shipping/Receiving both International and US
  • Assisting with Multiple Government Audits & Agency Surveillances (DCAA, DCMA)
  • Practical Supply Chain/Logistics Principles/Applications
  • Management Coordination and Communication between various Departments
  • Responsible for tool inventories, storage, and calibration of specialty equipment in support of all maintainers.
  • Managing all facets of Deployed living to include but not limited to Housing, Vehicles, and offices.
  • This is a Deployed rotational position. (60/60 rotations)

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Understanding of ITAR regulations as they apply to the import and export of goods.

  • Relevant experience working with logistics/warehouse environment and warehouse management systems.

  • Experience with the practical application of Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.

  • Prior experience with handling and managing hazardous/dangerous goods and materials

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of state, federal, and global regulations related to logistics.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
  • Progressive experience with inventory databases.
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management and Logistics
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain overall integrity.
  • Costpoint/MRP Knowledge
  • Enhanced problem-solving skills to adapt schedules in response to changes.
  • Multi-tasking skills to handle multiple inputs to production.
  • Ability to coordinate and/or balance/prioritize the workload within the business.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and process improvement techniques to exploit efficiencies throughout the production process.
  • Transportation Management System (TMS) experience as well as fundamental understanding of material flow in an operation space with inventory control experience.
  • Understandingof FAA regulations, policies, and procedures (FGOP).
  • Prior experience with CRM/ORM
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military Operations.
  • Previous OCONUS deployment experience in remote locations.
  • Understanding of shipping requirements while operating with SOFA or VFA agreements.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work on your feet for a majority of the work shift.
  • Ability to work in a loud environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
