The Logistics Operations Specialist ensures timely and cost-effective movement of goods through the supply chain. Key responsibilities include maintaining carrier records, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting customer service by acting as a liaison with external clients to resolve issues. The role also involves data management, performance analysis, and process improvement to optimize logistics operations. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office are essential for success. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manages and coordinates daily outbound deliveries with warehouse team
  • Responsible for communicating daily with freight haulers to ensure timely pickups, efficient routing and compliance with all temperature, and quality requirements
  • Utilize logistics software and tools to track shipments and manage data.
  • Accountable to maintain all records and documentation, ensuring they are consistently up-to-date and error-free.
  • Carrier compliance, handles customer inquiries, complaints and facilitate internal communication.
  • Responsible for identifying issues within the logistics operations and develop solutions to minimize disruptions and improve workflow.
  • Serve as backup for the department manager during scheduled absences, including handling approvals, addressing urgent issues, and acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Accountable to preparing detailed reports on logistical KPI’s and ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Conduct logistical analysis and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and operational goals.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including service providers, internal teams, and external clients, to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Qualifications: 

Education and Experience: 

  • 3-5+ years in logistics or supply chain roles or associate degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Logistics Certifications preferred.
  • SAP Experience preferred
  • Proficiency in advanced TMS/WMS systems and data visualization tools.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and cross-functional initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills:
 

  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communication – clear, complete, professional and accurate communication in written and oral forms to internal and external partners
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Critical and strategic thinking
  • Decision making with purpose
  • Proficient in the use and knowledge of E2Open and Conduit a plus
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations
  • Proven track record and ability to deliver transportation cost savings concepts

Pay: $28-$35/hr.* 

* The salary range listed for this position represents the good faith and reasonable minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting.  Actual compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, training, knowledge, education, and overall qualifications.  The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
