Job description

Role Summary


Logistics Operations Planning Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring, and optimizing logistics network capacity across warehousing and transportation operations. This role ensures operational readiness to support forecasted demand while maintaining cost efficiency and service level targets. *This position does NOT manage daily warehouse operations or on-site staff.


Key Responsibilities


Capacity Planning & Forecasting (Primary Responsibility)

  • Develop capacity plans based on forecasted volume projections
  • Analyze processing capabilities across warehouses, distribution centers, and transportation networks
  • Conduct short-term and long-term capacity simulations
  • Establish operational strategies for peak seasons and promotional periods
  • Coordinate capacity planning with 3PL providers and external logistics partners


Operational Optimization

  • Manage logistics operational efficiency and productivity KPIs
  • Develop and roll out standardized SOPs for: Receiving, Shipping, Transfers, Returns and damages
  • Perform data analysis using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and productivity improvement initiatives
  • Support data-driven operational decision-making
  • Collaborate with Operations, Transportation, Procurement, Finance, and Sales teams


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in Logistics operations, warehouse operations, or supply chain
  • Experience supporting multiple warehouse locations
  • Strong understanding of WMS / Logistics systems
  • Experience in process improvement, SOP development, or operational standardization
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Comfortable with limited travel (20%)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in installation service or final mile logistics operations
  • Understanding of logistics systems such as TMS and WMS
  • Experience leading projects or collaborating in cross-functional teams
  • Power BI / Tableau or similar reporting tools
