Job Title: Medical Logistician


Job Description:
Serves as a Medical Logistician, in a medical logistics operations center; Advisor to leadership pertaining to all medical supply issues within the unit and ability to see “the bigger picture” for enhancements or best practices. Must comply with all health-related regulatory practices and maximize readiness and distribution.
U.S. Citizenship is required. A valid passport is desirable.

The first location to be filled is Guantanamo Bay, Cuba OR a location in the U.S.

This position is fully mobile, requiring travel between sites as needed. Must be able to lift 50lbs.

In a medical logistics operations center an advisor to leadership pertaining to all medical supply issues within the unit and ability to see “the bigger picture” for enhancements or best practices. Must comply with all health-related regulatory practices and maximize readiness and distribution.

• Background in pharmaceuticals and/or medical related positions is preferred.
• Former military experience is highly preferred.
• Managing the company’s supplies, materials and products;
• Strategizing for time and cost savings throughout the supply chain process;
• Identifying ways to improve logistical operations;
• Work directly with maintenance control centers to coordinate, oversee tracking of supply and equipment status;
• Ensure timely delivery or urgent materials to teams;
• Overseeing supply chain processes, such as purchases, inventory, warehouse spaces and transportation services used;
• Provides centralized management for critical medical items and communication to medical unit locations;
• Utilize web based logistics information tracking software systems to monitor, use, update, and track the flow of inventory and containers;
• Analyzes logistical data and provides statistics driven decision making for supported unit areas;
• Provides medical logistics guidance ISO supply chain integration functions;
• Plans and executes medical materiel information systems in support of joint and multinational operations;
• Integrates the supply chain as part of the Single Integrated Medical Logistics Manager;
• Supervises clinical activities and responsible for serviceability of assigned equipment in area of responsibility;
• Assists medical staff and outpatient care and treatment;
• Performs oversight and supervises the overall requisitioning, receipt, inventory management, storage, preservation, issue, salvage, destruction stock control, quality control, and property management for the location(s);
• Ensures that repair parts management, inspection, packing and shipping, care, segregation and accounting of medical supplies and equipment, are in compliance with regulations;
• Representative for higher echelons to ensure correct shipments are deployed to outlining areas of operations and calibrations are in accordance with timeline mandates;
• Adhere to the company’s AS9100 and QMS policies, procedures and guidelines;
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
• BS/BA OR HS with 2 years of experience
• Specialized training courses are desirable
• Healthcare and safety courses are highly desirable
• Medical and healthcare experience
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
• Bilingual: fluent in English and Spanish is preferred
• Former military experience is highly desirable but not required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer and software/hardware systems as well as logistics
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• A valid passport is desirable
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
