Our client is a well-established logistics and freight forwarding company with headquarters in Florida, now seeking a Full-Time Branch Manager to launch and grow their Houston operations.

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic and commercially driven professional to build a branch from the ground up.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong network within the logistics industry, a proven ability to generate business, and the leadership skills to establish operations, develop a team, and position the branch as a key market player. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in building, scaling, and owning a business unit in a high-growth environment.

  • Develop and execute a commercial strategy to establish and grow the Houston branch
  • Leverage existing network and industry connections to generate new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and revenue growth
  • Lead business development efforts, including prospecting, negotiations, and closing deals
  • Oversee and ensure efficient execution of logistics operations (air, ocean, and ground freight)
  • Establish operational processes aligned with corporate standards and best practices
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing local team
  • Develop and monitor branch performance through KPIs, driving continuous improvement and profitability
  • Coordinate with carriers, agents, and logistics providers to ensure service excellence
  • Collaborate with headquarters to align commercial and operational strategies

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in branch leadership or managing a business unit
  • Strong commercial background with proven success in business development and revenue generation
  • Established network within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build operations from scratch
  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and logistics providers
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Ability to learn new systems
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking skills
  • Fluent in English; intermediate Spanish
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, intermediate Power BI
