Position Summary
The Operations & Logistics Specialist is responsible for performing clerical and technical work in support of operations and receiving activities. This role maintains frequent communication between warehouse, project managers and sales team, to ensure quality and schedules are met. The Operations & Logistics Specialist communicates risks and changes to Project Managers or Fabricators. This role also performs the administrative receiving function of purchase orders including data entry and document scanning.
Key Responsibilities
  • Executes the receiving function of purchase orders in the ERP system.
  • Executes the delivery of goods from inventory to sales orders and projects in the ERP system
  • Enter customer orders in the ERP system
  • Provide daily communication to AM and PM team on status of orders
  • Work closely with the warehouse on any potential issues and communicate to the team.
  • Coordinates delivery logistics and expedites purchase orders as needed.
  • Obtains shipping documents from vendors on direct ship purchase orders.
  • Coding and approving freight invoices in ERP workflow
  • Coordinates the communication and distribution of shipping documents as required.
  • Scans documentation to SharePoint.
  • Performs general clerical duties; data entry, answers telephones; maintains files and scans documentation.
  • Backup order entry, as needed
  • Run reports along with monthly tracking spreadsheets
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in operations/logistics in manufacturing organization in an order or make-to-order ERP/MRP driven manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be able to handle numerous technical, commercial, and administrative skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills required.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with an emphasis on excel
  • Solid judgement, decision making skills and leadership capabilities
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
