Job Title: Logistics ManagerJob Description

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing daily transportation and vehicle logistics operations at a designated site. This role includes managing inventory, coordinating dispatch, building strong carrier relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The Logistics Manager aims to drive operational excellence and contribute to overall profitability through effective resource management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring efficient transportation, dispatch, and inventory management.
  • Manage and develop dispatchers, supervisors, and operations personnel to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight movements, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Maintain real-time inventory visibility by monitoring vehicle and order statuses and resolving discrepancies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates and resolving service-related issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate carrier pricing and transportation solutions to maximize service quality and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, identifying opportunities to improve performance and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, transportation regulations, and company procedures.
