Summary (Position Description):. The Materials & Logistics Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, receiving, internal logistics, and material flow activities across BITZER US manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for ensuring materials are received, stored, transacted, replenished, picked, and shipped safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and supporting production operations.

The position provides leadership for Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control personnel while partnering closely with Procurement, Production, Engineering, Planning, Quality, Customer Service, and Information Technology to optimize material flow, improve inventory accuracy, reduce operating costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This position serves as the operational owner for warehouse and inventory processes, supporting ERP system improvements, inventory controls, warehouse optimization, and future business growth.

Reports To: Director of Supply Chain

Status: Full time, Salary Exempt

Duties & Tasks:

· Lead warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and internal logistics operations across BITZER US manufacturing facilities.

· Develop and maintain world-class inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical inventories, inventory reconciliation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

· Direct warehouse operations to ensure efficient receiving, storage, picking, staging, replenishment, and shipping while maximizing safety and productivity.

· Partner with Procurement and Production to ensure timely material availability supporting production schedules and customer commitments.

· Develop warehouse strategies that optimize space utilization, material flow, inventory storage, and operational efficiency.

· Monitor and improve key performance indicators including inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock time, on-time shipping, warehouse productivity, shipping accuracy, and inventory adjustments.

· Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, visual management, standard work, and root cause problem solving (BITZER BIPROS).

· Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for warehouse, inventory, receiving, shipping, and logistics functions.

· Ensure accurate inventory transactions within ERP and Warehouse Management Systems while supporting future SAP S/4HANA implementation and continuous system improvements.

· Recruit, coach, develop, and evaluate warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

· Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and material handling best practices.

· Additional duties as assigned by management.

· Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and manufacturing processes.

· Solid knowledge of inventory control methodologies, cycle counting, physical inventory, and inventory accuracy improvement.

Work Environment:

· This position is performed in both an office and manufacturing environment. Communication is constant with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, Quality, Finance, Information Technology, and BITZER Headquarters. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment, SAP applications, warehouse technologies, handheld scanning devices, and reporting tools.

Physical Demands:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, stand, and occasionally lift office materials or equipment. Frequent movement throughout manufacturing and warehouse facilities is required.
