Operations Manager

Sky Building Materials

Sky Building Materials, a distributor of glass and aluminum products, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager to help improve and oversee our daily operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands how to keep inventory, purchasing, shipping, logistics, and internal processes running efficiently. We are looking for someone who can identify problems, create better systems, improve communication, and make sure things get done accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operational activities and help improve overall workflow and efficiency
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory tracking
  • Coordinate purchasing and maintain appropriate stock levels based on business needs
  • Work with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, orders, lead times, and product availability
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Coordinate freight, deliveries, pickups, and other transportation needs
  • Monitor orders to ensure products are received and shipped accurately and on schedule
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency
  • Develop and maintain organized processes and standard operating procedures
  • Track operational performance and address recurring issues
  • Work closely with sales, warehouse, purchasing, and management to keep departments aligned
  • Help reduce errors, unnecessary costs, delays, and inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records related to purchasing, inventory, shipping, and receiving
  • Hold team members and vendors accountable for deadlines and expectations
  • Assist management with operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in operations management, logistics, distribution, purchasing, warehouse operations, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing inventory and purchasing processes
