We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager based in Houston to lead and optimize our Ocean Freight operations. This is a standard shift position with working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

This role oversees the end‑to‑end execution of international ocean shipments, ensuring operational excellence, process efficiency, and high customer satisfaction through our digital logistics platform integrated with major carriers.

You’ll drive process improvements and collaborate closely with internal pricing, sales, and technology teams to ensure seamless freight movement and client support across all trade lanes.

What You Will Do
  • Oversee and manage day‑to‑day ocean freight operations across multiple trade lanes.
  • Optimize operational workflows through data‑driven analysis and automation within the Skypace platform.
  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, carrier requirements, and company standards.
  • Collaborate with pricing and sales teams to align operational capacity with business growth.
  • Resolve escalations and exceptions, maintaining proactive communication with customers and carriers.
  • Monitor KPIs related to service performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, logistics operations, or supply chain management.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or team management role.
  • Strong knowledge of international documentation, Incoterms, and carrier processes.
  • Skilled in problem‑solving, communication, and operational optimization.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, tech‑driven logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms, digital freight systems, and shipment tracking tools.
