Job Summary

Responsible for supervising, coordinating, and controlling all aspects of Ground service operations. 

Responsibilities
  • Supervises all shift and ongoing activities related to Passenger and/or Cargo operations.
  • Monitors the quantity and quality of work performance of assigned personnel.
  • Directs personnel within assigned functional area.
  • Oversees and advises on staffing needs for appropriate coverage.
  • Participates in the discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates; training subordinates.
  • Ensures budgetary controls and manning requirements.
  • Maybe required to communicate with Airport Board officials and individual customers.
  • Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards.
  • Maintains and controls all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations and contractual agreements.
  • Reads, understands and clarifies the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge.
  • Administers practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off.
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
