We are a leading cold storage and transportation company specializing in premium seafood logistics. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of product quality, operational efficiency, and customer service.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Warehouse Operations Manager to support the daily management of our warehouse and transportation operations. This full-time role combines warehouse operations with administrative and operational responsibilities, spending approximately 50% of the time on the warehouse floor and 50% in the office.

The ideal candidate is organized and a proactive leader who enjoys solving problems, coordinating daily operations, and supporting a team in a fast-paced cold storage environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
  • Line up and organize daily workflow to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Pick and prepare orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring product is handled safely and properly.
  • Conduct routine and cycle inventory counts.
  • Serve as the go-to point person for troubleshooting operational issues as they arise.
  • Help train and coach new warehouse employees.
  • Make local deliveries.


Office & Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Update and maintain order sheets to reflect daily activity.
  • Enter bills of lading into our system with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Sign out trucks and manage departure documentation.


Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of warehouse, logistics, distribution, transportation, or cold storage experience.
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or management experience preferred.
  • Experience working in refrigerated or frozen warehouse environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with computers and warehouse management systems or shipping software.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and lead by example.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a refrigerated environment.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
