Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve operational flows, automation strategies, and manual sorting processes across sites

  • Contribute to the development of operating standards and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principlesandergonomicstandards

  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of newstations, including layout planning and equipmentselection

  • Create and update technical drawingsonAutoCAD,validatingdesigns withengineering

  • Conduct data analysis on throughput, costs, and quality metrics to define sorting thresholds and support decision-making

  • Participate in field visits to gather insights, assess equipment performance, and support project execution

  • Assistin preparing visual aids, documentation, and recommendations for automation and material handling projects

  • The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing abachelor's degreein industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in operational excellence and performance improvementwithaneagerness to learn.

  • Proficientin Excel, with a focus on data analysis

  • UnderstandingRFI, RFP, and RFQ processesis an asset.

  • Familiarity with automated warehouse or HUB environmentsis an asset.

  • Familiarity with process mapping, time studies, capacity analysis, workflow analysis, and Lean methodologies is an asset

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software, with the ability to create, modify, and interpret technical drawings and facility layouts.

  • Proactiveandsolutiondriven mindset.

  • Willingness to travel to various locations for project support and site visits, with flexibility to accommodate operational hours, including early mornings or late evenings.
