Position Summary
The Logistics Operator plays a key role in daily warehouse operations, including safely operating forklifts, managing inventory transactions, and supporting order accuracy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in logistics and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment in the warehouse and reports all safety and housekeeping violations immediately to the Supervisor.
• Operates a forklift, clamp truck, and stand-up forklift.
• Will be required to train new and existing associates on all operational procedures, except forklift training.
• Uses the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to transact within operational responsibilities.
• Completes paperwork as it relates to operational responsibility.
• Monitors inventory and notifies supervisor of inventory discrepancies.
• Identifies and solves problems related to operational responsibility.
• Complies with all ERP procedures.
• Operates forklift, clamp truck, and stand-up forklift in accordance to safety guidelines.
• Move K-Flex products and materials to internal / external customers.
• Verifies Logistics paperwork and transactions.
• Verifies accuracy of orders.
• Will be required to perform all other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• One (1) year of general warehouse experience; forklift experience required.
Qualifications
• 0-6 months of general warehouse experience (forklift experience strongly preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Sit-down and Stand-up forklift experience or ability to obtain forklift certification
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively in a warehouse environment
• Team-oriented with the ability to work well with others
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and kneeling
• Use of hands, arms, and legs to lift, push, pull, and reach
• Comfortable working around moving mechanical parts, heat, and moderate noise
