POSITION SUMMARY
Cassaday & Company, Inc. is seeking an Investment Operations Associate to join the Investment Management & Research (IMR) team in McLean, Virginia. This role focuses on investment data integrity, performance and cost basis reporting, and operational support across portfolio management and trading functions, while also assisting with investment research initiatives, analytical projects, and investment-related communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain and audit investment data across portfolio accounting and reporting systems, with a focus on cost basis accuracy and reconciliation.

  • Support the firm's GIPS® verification process through data preparation, validation, and auditor coordination.

  • Prepare investment analyses and materials for internal and client-facing use.

  • Coordinate fund manager due diligence processes, including meeting scheduling, documentation, and follow-up tracking.

  • Support Investment Policy Committee (IPC) meeting preparation, logistics, and materials.

  • Assist with departmental reporting and operational workflow management across IMR and Trading functions.

  • Assist in the drafting and reviewing of client-facing investment communications.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.

  • Strong interest in investment management and financial markets.

  • Progress toward CFA® designation preferred.

  • Ability to obtain the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 (or equivalent) within six months of hire.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; VBA experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with investment platforms and research tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, or YCharts preferred.
  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, or other analytical tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

This position offers a hybrid schedule following successful completion of the introductory period.
