The Building People, LLC seeks a Logistics Specialist to support asset management activities in support of the government's real property and personal property asset management programs. The Logistics Specialist performs requirements identification, property issuance, property transfer, property disposal, and property inventory through the government's asset management system. Responsibilities include coordinating employee equipment accountability and results reporting during semi-annual inventories, processing employee personal property turn-ins, transfers, and disposals during employee separations, and coordinating vehicle disposals through applicable national contracts.
Skills & Requirements
Required Experience & Skills
  • Experience in logistics support, asset management, or personal property management in a government or institutional setting
  • Familiarity with asset management systems and ability to coordinate data processing and reporting through electronic property management platforms
  • Ability to coordinate and report semi-annual property inventories and document results accurately
  • Experience processing property turn-ins, transfers, and disposals in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Valid driver's license
  • All personnel must obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Level 3) security clearance.

Preferred Experience & Skills
  • Experience with federal government asset management systems, such as Sunflower or equivalent
  • Familiarity with federal personal property regulations and disposal procedures
  • Experience supporting logistics operations in a law enforcement or federal agency environment

Required Education
  • Associate's degree; or 100 hours of formal logistics training; or certification from a professional logistics organization; or four (4) years of work experience in at least three (3) relevant logistics or property management functional areas; or an equivalent combination of the above

Preferred Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent
