Logistics Coordinator / Customer Service Representative


Location: New Freedom, PA (Hybrid – 4 days in office, 1 day remote)

About the Opportunity

Compensation Range: $25-$30 HR


Our client is a growing supply chain and transportation solutions provider that helps businesses optimize domestic and international logistics operations. They are seeking a Logistics Coordinator / Customer Service Representative who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating shipments, solving transportation challenges, and delivering exceptional customer service.


This position is ideal for candidates with experience in either domestic full truckload (FTL) transportation or international freight forwarding (ocean, air, import/export). If you have experience in one of these areas and are eager to expand your logistics knowledge, we'd love to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipments from pickup through final delivery while ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Track shipments proactively and communicate status updates, delays, or service issues to customers.
  • Work closely with customers, carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, and vendors to ensure timely movement of freight.
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries while coordinating transportation providers.
  • Obtain and evaluate carrier or transportation quotes to balance service, transit time, and cost.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers and customers.
  • Review, prepare, and verify shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • For international shipments, assist with import/export documentation, customs entry documentation, and regulatory compliance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and update transportation management systems.
  • Resolve transportation issues quickly while providing professional customer support.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant logistics experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics customer service, transportation coordination, freight forwarding, or brokerage.


Experience in either:

  • Domestic truckload (FTL), brokerage, or transportation operations, or International freight forwarding, import/export, ocean or air freight operations.
  • Strong understanding of transportation and supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with shipment tracking, carrier communication, scheduling, and transportation documentation.
  • Experience reviewing freight documentation and maintaining accurate shipment records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A customer-first mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), load boards, or rating platforms.

Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export documentation, or international shipping procedures.


Understanding of freight compliance and carrier management.

Knowledge of world geography and global transportation routes.
