How you create impact

The Sea Logistics Operational Care Specialist plays a critical role in delivering operational excellence through efficient, accurate, and high-quality service. This position is responsible for coordinating transportation activities within the Operational Care Center (OCC), ensuring the seamless movement of cargo from origin port to final consignee. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day shipment operations, processing data and documentation, and collaborating closely with Customer Care teams to fulfill customer requirements and service expectations. The Specialist ensures compliance with all sea freight regulations, trade requirements, and national protocols while maintaining strong relationships with carriers, co-loaders, trucking providers, customs brokers, warehouses, and other key logistics partners.In addition, the Sea Logistics Operational Care Specialist proactively identifies and resolves shipment discrepancies, delays, and holds, providing effective solutions and timely communication to all stakeholders. Through strong coordination and problem-solving skills, this role helps ensure the smooth, compliant, and customer-focused delivery of goods throughout the supply chain.

  • Ensure the seamless movement of shipments from origin to destination, proactively identifying and resolving any transportation discrepancies or operational issues.
  • Coordinate transportation activities, including preparing shipping documentation, scheduling shipments, dispatching cargo, and monitoring shipment progress.
  • Arrange the unloading of consolidated containers and coordinate final delivery to consignees or handoff to third-party providers.
  • Collaborate closely with ocean carriers, co-loaders, trucking companies, customs brokers, warehouses, and other logistics partners to ensure efficient execution of shipments.
  • Process urgent payment requests, including rush check payments, and manage Cash on Delivery (COD) collections as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data entry, ensuring the integrity and quality of operational information within company systems.
  • Partner with Customer Care teams to provide shipment updates and promptly communicate any holds, delays, exceptions, or service deviations.
  • Investigate and resolve operational challenges while providing ongoing support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor shipment activity to identify and address holds, exceptions, or discrepancies before they impact service delivery.
  • Take a proactive approach to resolving service issues and minimizing disruptions to the supply chain.
  • Coordinate cargo insurance coverage and support risk management processes as needed.
  • Collect and compile claim-related documentation and supporting information for cargo claims and investigations.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations governing Pharmaceutical and Dangerous Goods shipments.
  • Maintain full compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct and ethical business standards.
  • Support additional operational initiatives and perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

What we would like you to bring
  • 1+years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably with exposure to Sea Logistics operations.

Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
