Job Summary
The Hospital Logistics and Informatics Supervisor oversees daily logistics operations and healthcare supply chain activities while managing inventory data, reporting systems, and technology solutions that support clinical and operational departments. This role ensures the timely delivery of medical supplies, equipment, and services while leveraging analytics, informatics platforms, and process improvement methodologies to optimize inventory management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and patient care support.
The supervisor serves as a liaison between Supply Chain Management, Clinical Departments, Purchasing, and Finance to ensure accurate data management and effective utilization of logistics technologies.

Essential Functions 
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
•    Supervise day-to-day hospital logistics operations, including receiving, distribution, inventory management, and replenishment activities.
•    Oversee storeroom and point-of-use inventory locations.
•    Ensure timely delivery of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and patient care products.
•    Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
•    Manage logistics workflows to support operating rooms, procedural areas, nursing units, and ancillary departments.
•    Ensures employees are motivated to achieve functional objectives and provides assistance to enhance development.

Informatics & Data Management
•    Maintain supply chain information systems, inventory management software, and ERP applications.
•    Analyze operational, inventory, purchasing, and utilization data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
•    Ensure accuracy and integrity of item master data, vendor information, and product databases.
•    Support barcode scanning, automated inventory systems, and data collection technologies.
•    Regularly review and update item master data to reflect changes in product information, pricing, and supplier details.
•    Monitor data quality and compliance within organizational standards.

Minimum Education/Certifications 
•    Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Health Informatics.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, and inventory management software.
•    Experience with healthcare ERP systems

Minimum Work Experience
•    5-7 years hospital materials/purchasing experience
•    Strong understanding of hospital supply chain operations.
•    Knowledge of healthcare informatics and data analytics principles.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 
6:30am-3:00pm Monday thru Friday


Physical Requirements:
•    Able to stand for extended periods of time.
•    Able to use a personal computer
•    Frequent walking throughout healthcare facilities.
•    May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

•    Hospital, warehouse, and office environments, with some occasional abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust, and atmospheric conditions.
•    Availability for emergency situations, off-hours support, or system implementations as needed.
