About Carlo’s Bakery

Carlo’s Bakery, home of the “Cake Boss,” is a world-renowned bakery known for its high-quality, handcrafted desserts and exceptional customer experience. We take pride in our craftsmanship, creativity, and family-oriented culture. 

Position Summary

The Logistics Administrator directly affects distribution center workflow and customer satisfaction, frequent contact with internal and external customers. Some contact with all levels of distribution, customers and vendors.


Responsibilities

  • Confirm purchase orders / general communication with customers

  • Prepares bills of lading for shipments to customers and verifies BOL's with actual load sheet

  • Obtain dimensions and documents for export shipments. Generates export documents when necessary / create ship tickets 

  • Help maintain inventory accuracy and MRP requirements by monitoring and allocating inventory using company system

  • Become proficient in the use of the Transportation Management System and ERP system.

  • Contacts trucking firms for rate quotes and pick-ups for expedited orders for the entire outbound operation / communicate as needed with trucking partners

  • Reports shortages or overages to appropriate resources

  • Works directly with Transportation Coordinators 

  • Files damage claims with trucking companies for payment

  • Maintain accurate, complete paperwork and proper forwarding of all documentation. 

  • Research any discrepancies that arise and work with all parties until resolved. 

  • Maintain accurate spreadsheet on all incoming material and outgoing product shipments. 

  • Maintain required files and file all required paperwork in a timely manner. 

  • Complete forms and paperwork for office personnel as required. 

  • Maintain warehouse supply spreadsheet as required.

  • Inventory analysis


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management or logistics (preferred)

  • 2-5 years of logistics experience (required)

  • Experience with ERP systems & TMS systems (required)

  • High IT affinity with warehouse systems

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in a diverse environment; able to effectively communicate with multiple levels of the organization

  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives/tasks with a strict focus on deadlines

  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience
