Job description

Join Romark Logistics as an Inventory Control Analyst, where you'll help maintain inventory accuracy and support operational excellence within our distribution center. In this role, you'll perform inventory audits, cycle counts, quality inspections, and discrepancy research while generating reports and collaborating with customers and internal teams.
This position is an on-site role with the available shift option below:
  • Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm

What You'll Do
The tasks and responsibilities required of the Inventory Coordinator are outlined below:
Inbound Operations
• Support the unloading, inspecting, auditing, and put-away of product (item, code date, quantity).
• Assist with assigning trucks to dock doors and coordinating inbound flow.
• Relabel and properly palletize product as required.
• Identify and communicate inbound discrepancies or non-conformance issues.
Outbound Operations
• Support picking, transporting, scanning, and loading of product.
• Ensure proper staging and accuracy of outbound shipments.
• Assist with trailer sealing and shipment verification.
Inventory Control & Accuracy
• Execute and support cycle count activities, physical inventory checks, and discrepancy research.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper system transactions (adjustments, consumption, movement).
• Perform item setup and maintain accurate system data.
Returns & Discrepancy Management
• Process customer returns and refusals including inspection and auditing.
• Address customer shortages and credits while maintaining supporting documentation in applicable systems.
Value-Added Services (VAS)
• Support value-added service operations including repacking, relabeling, kitting, auditing, and product modification activities.
• Assist with issuing and processing inventory transactions related to VAS (consumption, adjustments, returns).
• Maintain organization and inventory accuracy within VAS staging and work areas.
• Communicate with internal teams to ensure timely execution of VAS orders and resolution of any discrepancies.
• Support documentation, tracking, and reporting requirements related to VAS activities.
Production / Operational Support
• Support inventory availability for production or operational needs.
• Coordinate replenishment activities and ensure correct product, lot, and packaging usage.
• Facilitate movement of inventory between warehouse and production areas.
• Process shift returns and restage materials as required.
Systems & Reporting
• Perform accurate data entry and inventory transactions in WMS, SAP, and/or Blue Yonder.
• Maintain inventory records, reports, and tracking tools (including Excel spreadsheets).
Destruction
• Prepare, create, and process destruction orders in applicable systems.
Inventory Compliance and Traceability
• Drive 6S standards
• Properly secure, research, apply, and release holds, while defining the conditions for release.
Perform traceability exercises that test and verify systems and processes.
• Conduct GEMBA walks and inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Monitor work for accuracy, neatness, and adherence to procedures.
• Follow and promote all safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Run and review OS&D reports and track non-conformance issues.
• Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding returns and discrepancies.
Operational Support
• Identify and communicate process or procedural issues impacting workflow.
• Assist in resolving inventory and operational issues.
• Communicate maintenance or repair needs for facilities, equipment, and racking.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
General Responsibilities
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, supervisors, and customers.
• Participate in special projects as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
The skills and requirements required for the Inventory Coordinator position are outlined below:
  • High school education or GED preferred.
  • Basic PC skills (data entry, EXCEL spreadsheets).
  • Experience with WMS, SAP, and/or Blue Yonder systems preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and penmanship).
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks based on business needs.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate all equipment associated with a warehousing environment (Forklift, VNA, deep reach, walkie, pallet jack, RF scanner).
  • Ability to frequently lift 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 40 ft.
  • Ability to work in varying environments including cold storage (approximately 40°F).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work overtime as required.
  • Competency with technical skills associated with materials and inventory management.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
