To support our continued growth, we are hiring a temporary, onsite Bulk Logistics Intern in State College, PA. This is a paid internship.

JOB OBJECTIVE
We value energy, passion, authenticity, creativity...and results! The individual hired for this position will support our Bulk Logistics Planner with day-to-day operational and transactional logistics activities. This role is designed for a motived student or recent graduate interested in supply chain, logistics, operations or business and is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. This individual will assist with coordinating shipments, maintaining logistics data, supporting execution tasks, and contributing to analytical and market intelligence projects.
Among other responsibilities, this position requires the knowledge, skills and ability to understand and execute the following:
  • Logistics Coordination & Execution
    • Coordinate and schedule shipments with warehouses, carriers, and customers
    • Support shipment execution, tracking, and follow-up to ensure timely delivery
    • Execute small parcel shipments (e.g., DHL, FedEx) for product trials, samples, and customer testing
  • Operational & Transactional Support
    • Maintain and update inventory and logistics data in internal tracking tools with a high level of accuracy
    • Collect, organize, and track freight quotes from multiple carriers
    • Support the Bulk Logistics Planner with day-to-day operational and transactional logistics activities
  • Analysis & Reporting
    • Assist with ad-hoc analysis related to logistics operations, pricing, market intelligence, and supply chain initiatives
    • Prepare reports, summaries, and data to support ongoing and special projects

This individual will report to our Bulk Logistics Planner.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Recent graduate or currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field
  • Previous internship experience or relevant coursework in logistics or supply chain

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple work locations as needed
  • Strong working proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Background checks (criminal/education/employment/reference/credit/DMV) will be performed; results must be satisfactory to the company.
  • If hired, must adhere to all company policies and procedures and other prescribed best practices/industry standards

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift 50 to 60 pounds as needed
  • Frequent sitting, standing, moving forward/back/side-to-side, and working around greenhouse and laboratory equipment; where exposure to electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, sealants, solvents, and other compounds is possible
  • Ability to work in an area where pesticides are used
