Job description

A Little About

Oats Overnight is on a mission to build a generational CPG brand. Since 2016, our high-protein, drinkable oatmeal has reached over a million customers through direct-to-consumer, and we're now scaling with all major nationwide retail and club partners. Our goal: become a household brand by leveraging speed, storytelling, and strategy.

We are vertically integrated: we develop, manufacture, and fulfill everything in-house. This operational control allows us to engage customers directly into the R&D process, an initiative where we were first-to-market in CPG. It also makes our brand tangible and real: our factory, our team, and our product pipeline are all part of the narrative.

This is an exciting stage — we are emerging as a significant omni-channel brand and launching new products to capture significant market share across verticals. We want you to help us get there.

Every teammate here has equity because we're building something big, and everyone plays an important role. If you're excited about building a brand that does things differently, this is that opportunity.

What's The Job

As a Retail Logistics Analyst, you will own two distinct areas of accountability. On the execution side, you'll manage some of our retail less than truckload (LTL) and full truckload (FTL) freight out of our Ohio facility — the origin point for 100% of our retail volume. On the analytics side, your scope is broader: you'll build and own the reporting and analysis that spans all freight and warehousing activity, including inbound, surfacing cost and service opportunities and translating data into decisions. You're the connective tissue between the plant floor and the broader logistics, supply chain, finance, and sales teams — keeping product moving and improving how we do it.

What You'll Be Doing — Stop Scanning and Read This Part
  • Own end-to-end execution of retail purchase orders — from issuance through delivery — ensuring accuracy, completeness, and on-time fulfillment
  • Coordinate daily with carriers, brokers, and the Ohio plant team to schedule pickups and resolve exceptions in real time
  • Manage LTL, spot truckload, and contracted freight execution, ensuring optimal carrier selection, competitive price alignment, and reliable service
  • Track and monitor retail orders across the supply chain; provide timely ASNs and proactive status updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Invoice retail purchase orders accurately and on time; own billing reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies
  • Manage retail customer and inventory data within our ERP system; identify and correct data quality issues that affect order execution
  • Proactively identify and resolve fulfillment delays or service failures, escalating appropriately and closing the loop with all affected parties
  • Build and maintain logistics performance reporting across all freight and warehousing activity — inbound and outbound — including carrier on-time metrics, cost per hundredweight, order fill rates, warehouse throughput, and fulfillment accuracy by customer
  • Analyze freight and warehousing cost and service data across all modes (LTL, truckload, and parcel where applicable) to identify opportunities for consolidation, routing improvements, and cost reduction; provide the analytical foundation for logistics strategy decisions
  • Serve as the primary logistics point of contact at the Ohio facility, maintaining strong working relationships with plant operations and warehouse teams
  • Support logistics financial planning by providing volume forecasts, cost actuals, and trend analysis across freight and warehousing as inputs to budget and S&OP processes
  • Participate in logistics systems improvement initiatives; help document current-state processes and support transition to improved tools and workflows
  • Liaise with demand planning, sales, and finance to ensure logistics execution aligns with demand plans and service commitments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier and broker partners; provide input to freight bid processes based on lane-level performance data
  • Potential travel 10–15%
  • Other duties as assigned
What You've Done and Who You Are
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related analytical role; retail or CPG experience a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field preferred
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Analytically minded — comfortable building models, spotting trends, and translating data into clear recommendations for cross-functional audiences
  • Strong communication skills; able to work effectively with plant operations, carriers, and internal partners across AZ and OH
  • Excellent time management and the ability to juggle execution demands alongside longer-horizon analytical work
  • Sharp attention to detail and a high level of personal accountability — errors in order execution have real customer and financial consequences
  • Strong Excel and data skills; experience with ERP systems and TMS or logistics platforms a plus
  • A builder's mindset — you're not just looking to execute the current process, you want to improve it
  • Someone who can partner and influence across levels — from the warehouse floor to senior stakeholders — without relying on formal authority
