Job description

In this role, you will provide full-spectrum Acquisition Logistics Support to the Helicopter Division within the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). You will assist in managing resources, analyzing program data, and exploring innovative approaches to support rotary wing weapon systems across their lifecycle. Primary Responsibilities Product Support & Lifecycle Logistics
▪ Provide technical expertise and recommendations across all 12 Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements, including supply support, maintenance planning, technical data, and training.
▪ Identify product support concerns, risks, and issues, and draft recommended courses of action to ensure overall program supportability.
▪ Support base activation planning for locations receiving new rotary wing aircraft and equipment.
▪ Provide recommendations for Depot Maintenance Activation Planning (DMAP), source of repair decisions, and depot maintenance inter-servicing.
▪ Monitor operation and maintenance of fielded systems against reliability, maintainability, availability, deployability, and sustainability metrics.
▪ Assist in monitoring Interim Contractor Support (ICS) planning until weapon systems transition to organic or long-term contractor support. Acquisition & Program Management
▪ Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and detailed analysis in developing acquisition strategies, RFPs, and Milestone C documentation.
▪ Identify, draft, and track required acquisition and sustainment documentation, including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), Facility Requirements Plans, and Material Fielding Plans.
▪ Review regulatory guidance and regulations to establish key program milestones and deliverables.
▪ Assist in preparing budget estimates and evaluating cost, schedule, performance, and risk trade-offs.
▪ Evaluate proposed engineering changes, directives, and military specifications for logistics and supportability impacts.
▪ Provide advisory support for Item Unique Identification (IUID) requirements and assembling CPARS inputs for OEM/suppliers. Technical, Maintenance & Material Support
▪ Conduct research and engineering analysis to ensure hardware/software designs meet rotary wing supportability and survivability standards.
▪ Develop life-cycle maintenance concepts and requirements across all maintenance levels.
▪ Review and track Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERDs) to ensure proper Support Equipment/Automatic Test Systems (SE/ATS) availability.
▪ Assess facility, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation (PHS&T) requirements for adequacy.
▪ Support the acquisition and sustainment of technical data, technical orders (TOs), engineering drawings, and data rights strategies.
▪ Review manpower, personnel, training equipment, computer resource needs, and Program Protection Plan (PPP) requirements to safeguard critical information. Qualifications & Requirements Clearance & Citizenship
▪ U.S. Citizenship required.
▪ Active Secret security clearance. Education & Experience
▪ High School diploma plus 15 years of directly related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of experience; OR Master’s degree plus 10 years of experience.
▪ Minimum of 5 years of experience directly supporting DoD programs.
▪ Specialized expertise in product support and acquisition logistics.
