Logistician - Junior-Senior
McLaughlin Research Corporation is looking to hire multiple Logisticians to support our Keyport WA operations. Logisticians integrate the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments. Logisticians are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance. The Logistician prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support, and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped. It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities range from packing and wrapping inbound and outbound assets, to updating logistics databases with current information. Leads in this area include all of the job functions for logistics support, as well as provide training, obtain system access, identify job expectations, workload assignment, tracking training and qualifications, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Ideal experience will have been gained in support of similar supply support functions for a Department of Defense organization.
  • Three to fifteen years of experience in applicable logistics support functions.
  • Prior experience supporting NUWC Keyport is a plus.
  • Prior experience with Navy ERP is highly desirable.
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer organization.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, is required.
  • Eligible to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
