Summary

DSV performs project management and transportation services to various industries including Oil & Gas, Mining, Power and Renewables. We are looking for a Project Logistics Specialist to join DSV's Project Branch working on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule on the North Slope of Alaska.

This role is to assist in the timely receiving, dispatching, control, and visibility of materials received into the KIC and North Slope sites for final delivery across the East - West ice Road.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote a culture of health and safety and participate in safety reviews and progress meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Inbound Activities

  • Daily communication & coordination with the LMS Traffic & Logistics Specialist in Anchorage on the anticipatedarrival of truck coming up from the South - North corridor for receiving and offload.
  • Update COPA Materials Handling contractor of expected arrivals for planning purposes.
  • Meet truck drivers arriving on site and collect paperwork
  • Receive the loads into c2c and arrange the yard marshal to direct the driver to the offload area.
  • Collect copies of POD's and archive in the TMS.
  • Provide daily reports of On-Hand materials and report on any OS&D's.
  • Undertake periodical stock takes(scanning) to update locations of materials

Outbound Activities

  • Daily communication & coordination with the LMS Expediting Team on the construction BOM's and packing lists.
  • Daily coordination with the LMS Traffic & Logistics specialist in Anchorage on the allocated trucks running on theEast - West Corridor for receiving and loading.
  • Update COPA Materials Handling contractor of expected trucks arrivals for planning purposes.
  • Provide the packing list created by the LMS Expediting Team.
  • Meet truck drivers arriving on site and verify allocations.
  • Arrange with the yard marshal to direct the driver to the loading area/s
  • Receive load trucks and finalize the delivery paperwork.
  • Update the delivery/ departure in c2c.
  • Provide daily reports of delivered materials and report on pre-loaded assets.

Educational background / Work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in project management or logistics
  • Experience working in a transportation and logistics environment is preferred

  • Familiar in working on the ground coordinating and troubleshooting the receiving or loading of transport assets to an agreed schedule. the execution of the same.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and intercultural skills.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $55.00 - $67.50 / hourly.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
