Job description

Job Title: Inbound Associate.
Alternate/Related Job Titles: Warehouse Associate, Receiving Clerk, Inbound Logistics Associate.
Location: Fort Worth (off 360 & 183).
Contract Details: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity.
Pay: $19-$21 per hour, based on shift (see details below).
Job Summary:
Our client, a leading wholesale distributor of firearms, ammunition, optics, and shooting sports equipment, is seeking detail-oriented Inbound Associates to support warehouse operations. This role focuses on receiving and inspecting inbound shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, and ensuring goods are organized and prepared for stocking. The position also assists with other warehouse functions, such as order pulling, shelving, and preparing inventory for shipment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with multiple shifts available.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Unload and inspect inbound freight; document shortages, overages, and damages on the bill of lading.
  • Unpack and verify merchandise against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Record discrepancies and verify serial numbers for inbound inventory.
  • Sort and separate products by category for efficient stocking.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered equipment safely.
  • Support warehouse organization and cleanliness.
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and stock audits.

Required Experience:
  • 1-2 years of recent and stable warehouse experience.
  • Experience handling inbound logistics, freight, or shipping/receiving preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks safely (certification preferred but not required).

Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Experience working in a warehouse with regulated or serialized inventory (e.g., firearms, electronics).
  • Exposure to ERP or inventory tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with warehouse scanning or barcode systems.

Required Skills:
  • Basic reading and writing proficiency; must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Attention to detail, especially when verifying item counts and serial numbers.

Preferred Skills:
  • Forklift certification or experience with powered warehouse equipment.

Available Shifts & Compensation:
FIRST SHIFT:
  • Monday - Friday, 5:45 AM - 2:15 PM → $19.00/hr.
  • Sunday - Thursday, 5:45 AM - 2:15 PM → $20.00/hr.

SECOND SHIFT:
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM → $19.00/hr (Inbound Shift).
  • Monday - Friday, 10:45 AM - 7:15 PM → $19.00/hr.

THIRD SHIFT:
  • Monday - Friday, 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM → $20.00/hr.
  • Sunday - Thursday, 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM → $21.00/hr.
    (Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Monday-Thursday follows standard shift hours).
