Department: Shipping/Warehousing
Job Title: Logistics Associate
Summary/Objective:
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the day-to-day movements of product within the facility. This position is responsible for the receiving, storing, picking, delivery, packing, kitting, and shipping of products in the facility. This position is responsible for making sure that the deadlines set are understood and met. This position will set up materials for production in a timely manner and ensure that production has all the required materials.
Position Functions:
  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Restocks Floor stock parts
  • Physically transferring raw material from stock to the production area.
  • Places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product ordered for each department.
  • Fills work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line and assist warehouse with packing and shipping orders for delivery when needed
  • Maintaining proper storage of raw material in stock.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory locations, counts.
  • Other duties as determined by skill level and corporate need.
  • Organize materials as needed
Educational Level for Position:
  • High School Diploma.
  • 2 years of warehouse experience.
Special Skills/Qualifications Needed:
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and shift priorities.
  • Ability to learn and utilize custom software relevant to Production and Manufacturing, as well as UPS and FedEx.
  • Ability to prepare customs documents.
  • Familiarity with standard Office Technologies, including but not limited to Microsoft Office
  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds safely and frequently.
