Job Description: The Handyman โ€“ Labels & Warehouse Logistics is responsible for supporting data center operations through accurate asset labeling, inventory management, material handling, and warehouse organization. This role ensures that equipment, racks, cables, and infrastructure components are properly identified and tracked while maintaining efficient warehouse and staging operations. Working closely with data center technicians, logistics teams, and vendors, the Handyman supports the receiving, storage, movement, and deployment of equipment, helping maintain operational excellence, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and overall facility readiness in a fast-paced mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities Install, replace, and maintain equipment labels, asset tags, rack labels, cable labels, and directional signage throughout the data center. Ensure all labels comply with data center standards, asset management requirements, and operational procedures. Verify label accuracy and report discrepancies between physical assets and inventory records. Assist with receiving, unloading, inspecting, and staging incoming equipment and materials. Organize warehouse stock and maintain designated storage locations for parts, tools, and consumables. Perform inventory counts, stock audits, and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Support material movement between warehouse, staging areas, and data halls. Prepare equipment and materials for deployment, relocation, or decommissioning activities. Track inventory transactions using warehouse management systems, spreadsheets, or ticketing tools. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in warehouses, staging rooms, and data center environments. Remove packaging materials, dispose of waste properly, and support recycling initiatives. Assist technicians with basic installation support, equipment handling, and logistics coordination. Coordinate deliveries and shipments with vendors, carriers, and internal teams. Conduct routine inspections of storage areas and report damaged equipment or safety concerns. Follow all data center security, safety, and access control procedures. Support emergency logistics requests and operational projects as required. Daily Tasks Print and apply labels to racks, cables, devices, and infrastructure components. Verify asset IDs and update records as needed. Receive shipments and compare delivered items against packing slips and purchase orders. Stock shelves and organize inventory according to established standards. Move equipment between receiving docks, warehouse locations, staging areas, and operational spaces. Conduct inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies. Maintain inventory of labeling supplies and warehouse materials. Keep warehouse aisles, storage locations, and workspaces clean and unobstructed. Respond to work orders, service requests, and logistics tickets. Support asset tracking and documentation activities. Required Skills High school diploma or GED Familiarity with labeling equipment and asset management practices. Ability to read asset lists, work orders, and shipping documents. Experience using handheld scanners, inventory systems, or Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift and move equipment and materials safely.
