Job Summary/Basic Functions: 

The Senior Inside Sales Representative provides technical expertise to sales representatives, resellers and customers during the sales process; performs technical sales support at customer sites, or on a multiple-site basis; resolves technical product/service issues; assists customers during the sales process to maximize the benefits derived from the organization’s products and/or services; responsibilities are within the technical sales support function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.  The level P3: requires in-depth knowledge and experience; solves complex problems, takes a new perspective using existing solutions; works independently; receives minimal guidance, acts as resource for colleagues with less experience, represents the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement.    


Specific Duties / Essential Functions: 

Technical Support  

  • Provide technical information and explanations to both internal/external customers 
  • Contributes to developing and improving current sales processes 
  • Utilize current business system to establish price and discounts by customer and provides immediate documented response to customer inquiries 

Customer Engagemen

  • Support the entire OEM sales team with selections and quotations as needed 
  • Support OEM House Accounts with quotations and grow these accounts with Armstrong products and services 
  • Answers customer telephone inquiries with professionalism and courteously 

Preferred Qualifications/Education/Experience: 

  • Associate degree with a technical focus; bachelor's degree in engineering preferred. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to think clearly and logically, analyze quantitatively, problem solve and define technical requirements.  Highly analytical and understands how to visualize and present complex data. 
  • Ability to establish objectives, handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and drive results. 
  • Able to work both independently and part of a team; high-performance cultural fit with the US team. 
  • Strong ability to multi-task 
  • Exceptional organizational skills 
  • Passion for continuous education and product training 
  • Demonstrates excellence in diction, enunciation and English grammar
