Job description

Position Overview

Gray Matter Logic is seeking a high-energy Account Executive to drive net-new business within our dedicated Odoo practice. This role focuses on acquiring new customers across the SMB and mid-market segments through consultative sales engagements that combine Odoo ERP software with implementation, consulting, and ongoing support services.

Odoo’s open-source, modular platform allows growing organizations to consolidate fragmented software stacks into a single, integrated system spanning ERP, CRM, eCommerce, HR, manufacturing, and more. As a platform-dedicated Account Executive, you will serve as Gray Matter Logic’s primary sales partner within the Odoo ecosystem, co-selling with Odoo’s direct team and leveraging the platform’s compelling total cost of ownership story to win new customers.

You will lead the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and qualification through solution design, proposal, negotiation, and close, working closely with Gray Matter Logic consultants, delivery teams, and Odoo partner resources. This is a higher-velocity sales role with shorter cycles, a larger pipeline, and a strong land-and-expand growth model.

What You Will Do

  • Identify and pursue net-new Odoo ERP opportunities across SMB and mid-market organizations
  • Prospect companies replacing fragmented SaaS tools, spreadsheets, or entry-level systems
  • Build relationships with founders, GMs, VPs of Operations, controllers, and IT leaders
  • Lead discovery-driven sales engagements with fast qualification and efficient deal progression
  • Position Odoo to solve challenges across finance, operations, inventory, manufacturing, and eCommerce
  • Develop proposals covering implementation, configuration, data migration, training, and support
  • Collaborate with delivery leadership to scope projects and align commitments with expectations
  • Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, campaigns, referrals, and partner collaboration
  • Serve as Gray Matter Logic’s dedicated sales partner to Odoo’s direct sales and channel teams
  • Drive account expansion by activating additional Odoo modules within existing customers
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting data, and CRM hygiene

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Net-new customer acquisition and logo growth
  • Annual services and implementation bookings against quota
  • Pipeline volume, velocity, and opportunity development
  • Win rate and average sales cycle length
  • Account expansion and module adoption within existing customers
  • Forecast accuracy and CRM hygiene
  • Odoo co-sell pipeline contribution and partner satisfaction

Required Experience

  • 3+ years selling ERP, business applications, or technology solutions to SMB and mid-market companies
  • Proven track record generating net-new business and acquiring new customers
  • Experience selling solutions that include implementation or professional services
  • Ability to manage a high-velocity pipeline with multiple concurrent opportunities
  • History of consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets

Ideal Background

Successful candidates often come from Odoo implementation partners, SMB-focused ERP or CRM companies, SaaS sales organizations selling into operations or finance, mid-market consulting firms, or technology VARs. Experience selling platform consolidation or multi-module solutions in a land-and-expand model is a strong advantage.

Key Competencies

Consultative Selling - Value-based discovery and solution positioning across business needs

High-Velocity Execution - Fast qualification, efficient deal progression, and pipeline discipline

Platform Positioning - Articulate consolidation value across a broad, modular product suite

Land-and-Expand Mindset - Drive initial wins and grow accounts through additional module adoption

SMB Buyer Engagement - Confident engagement with founders, GMs, and functional leaders

Self-Driven Pipeline Gen - Proactive outbound and relationship-based prospecting at scale

Partner Co-Selling - Joint execution with Odoo direct and channel teams

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus variable commission tied to services and implementation bookings
  • Accelerators for exceeding quota
  • Health Care (Medical, Dental & Vision), 401k, Life Insurance, Flexible Time Off, Short & Long Term Disability, Training & Development
